One of my biggest flaws is that I have very little patience.
I admitted before in my other entries that if I want something, I want it like, NOW.
Vic said it is because I am still young, and that when I get to my 30s I will learn how to be patient. So we will find out about that soon enough.
I am currently waiting for something to happen, desperately waiting for something to happen.
Just when I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel I began to realize that it is actually a false alarm and it is not something solid - This is when I once again feel my BP rising.
That aside, something funny (well, funny to me) happened today.
Vic and I were on our way to have our lunch when I bumped into a student of mine.
Me : You are J, aren't you?
J : Yes, I am J.
Me : You were the only one who got an A for my class last semester.
J: oooo really? Why did you give me an A? *beaming*
Me : Oh no, no, I did not give you. You earned it.
And suddenly..
J : You seem much nicer this semester, madam. You were scary last semester.
Me : ???!??
Haha.
Bukan sebab I scary or not.

I love my job.
My precious readers,
Each morning when you wake up, do you feel excited about going to work? Do you feel like you cannot wait to be at the office (or work station)? Or do you feel totally the opposite? Do you keep telling yourself you would stay in bed for just an extra five minutes? Are you excited to see your colleagues? Do you look forward to meeting up with your friends at work? How about lunch, do you enjoy having lunch and keeping up with your colleagues?
Lately, things are going a bit crazy BUT fun for me at work. It is only when I am in the middle of this whole craziness that I begin to realize, hey you know what? I LOVE MY JOB.
Sure there are times when I wish I am somewhere in New York City, or working in Boston, or sitting in a fancy office in Switzerland while overlooking the snow, but as people always say, it is not the place, but the people that will make it a totally different experience. And to that I could not agree more (though it would be absolutely lovely to have snow and sip coffee while in NYC).
Today is one of those days where some crazy stuff came up, but at the same time, I realized that I am surrounded by great people, and for that I am forever grateful. *POSITIVE ENERGYYYYY*

Of burgers and vanity
I was in Miri for the past weekend. The trip was not planned in the first place but I had to utilize a ticket from Miri to Kuching which I had purchased by mistake. Yes, I do that now, buying tickets without checking (I swear I DID check) the dates.
So after paying for Kuching to Miri route, I packed my stuff and off I went to the airport. It was not bad at all actually, (apart from hurting my credit card) because I get to see my love before his birthday.
While in Miri, we must do what Mirians do. Yes, by that I mean eating burgers at a stall called Kinky Fat Chef. Heard good reviews about the place so off we went to try it for ourselves. Ezain had tried it before but for me, this was my first try. If you are interested, this place is located at one of the houses in Piasau Jaya. I am bad with directions and roads so I cannot really recall where it is.
I had Grill Chicken burger and Ezain opted for beef. Not bad, it is delicious and heard that they use their own burger patty and sauce.
I am thinking of getting myself a new pair of glasses. Hmmmm.
OK here comes that awkward moment of not knowing how to end this post.
Blog later OK? Gotta do some work. Love youuuuuu.

Happy Birthday to the love of my life
Sayang,
I would like to wish you a Happy Birthday. Yay! May you have many more to come.
I am sorry for not being by your side on the day you turn 29.
I promise I will make it up to you when we meet again at the end of this month.
On this special day, I would like you to know that I am very blessed to have you in my life.
Maybe one day we will have children, maybe we won't.
Maybe one day we will be rich and live in Paris, maybe we won't.
Maybe one day we will be very successful and famous, maybe we won't.
Maybe one day we will travel around the world in eighty days, maybe we won't.
Whatever the future holds for you and me,
I want you to know,
Through all the joy and laughter,
The tears and sorrow,
I am thankful that I have you to share my life with.
I never miss to mention your name in my prayers,
I pray that God will guide us both,
And when we look at each other,
We will be reminded of how special this bond is.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.

29 February 2012
Saja nak buat entry bersempena tarikh ini.
Pagi-pagi I serbu ofis Vic.
I said, "Vic , Vic we must do something special today because it's 29th OF FEB!"
Vic replied, " Eh, play badminton also considered special or not?"
Nooooo I said, unless you allow me to take your picture playing badminton all sweaty.
The faculty (some of us) started to have badminton practice every Wednesday after office hours.
Ngam juga sebab ada "coach" di kalangan lecturer yang boleh tahan jugak Lee Chong Wei nya.
Tapi, nak dijadikan cerita, the badminton court was unavailable today due to some try out session for MASUM.
OK lah, our special badminton practice terus bertukar venue.
Starbucks.
Heee.
Ajak Nora sekali.
Nora dah tukar baju sukan.
Tak sempat nak bagitahu Nora yang practice is postponed to next week due to unavailability of place.
So, off we went to Jalan Song's Strabucks the same place where Vic and I did our GRE revision. Sekali jer buat. Heh.
Vic sampai dulu, then I came and after that Nora arrived.
Favorite picture of the day goes to Nora.

Daily Office Make Up Routine
I have never thought of timing myself in the morning while getting ready for work so I decided I would do it today just for fun. I am also curious about the amount of time I need to get ready for work. Some people say they only need 5 minutes to do their make up and I was like 'Whaaattt, really? 5 minutes? Lucky You!'
After shower and face wash, I started with my facial care routine. I used to stick to only Clinique 3-steps but after discovering the increase in their price, I begin to explore other brands for alternatives. I mean, if I keep on paying for the price increase, I might as well see if other well known brands which carry the same price tag or slightly higher would do better for my skin, right?
I have started using SK-11 's Facial Treatment Essence as part of my facial care after toner. Since I still have my Clinique toner / lotion as they call it, I use it alternately with Shu Uemura's lotion (toner) from Whitefficient range. Then I proceed with Shu Uemura's Whitefficient moisturizing essence.
To be honest, I laughed at myself when I got home after purchasing the two items from Shu Uemura's Whitefficient range. I was like , 'Really Hana, do you think your face will get any whiter?" Ngee. Due to Vitiligo, I do not have much melanin (if any) on my face and these products claim to reduce the production of melanin (which gives color to your skin). My skin disease is weird; due to my auto-immune disorder, my immune system thinks that my natural skin color is an enemy, hence eating it all up, that is why my skin becomes white. BUT, like FTE, the Whitefficient product range also claim that they can transform your skin to be crystal clear and radiant which is what I am looking for, RADIANCE.
After my skin is nicely moisturized, my next step is to prep my skin before applying foundation. Again, due to my disease I require sun protection for my skin since I have zero protection against the UV rays. So ever since I got this disease, sunblock has become my best friend. Even if you do not have this disease, you still need to use sunblock everyday because of the harmful UV rays. The sun is the number one aging agent, so if you know what is good for you, you would want to buy your first sunblock for your face.
For my lips, I used a MaxFactor lippy.
OK I am good to go!
Excluding the time I need to do my donut bun, it took me 18 minutes to do my face this morning.
:)
